By accessing or using Billie Society ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Site. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Site in any capacity.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Billie Society is a fan-created, fan-operated website. We have no official relationship with Billie Eilish, her management team, Interscope Records, Darkroom, Universal Music Group, or any associated label, publisher, or business entity. Nothing on this Site should be construed as representing the views, statements, or endorsements of Billie Eilish or any affiliated party.

All references to Billie Eilish on this Site are purely for fan and informational purposes under the principles of nominative fair use. We make no claim of ownership over the Billie Eilish name, likeness, or trademark.

To access certain features, you may register for an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Providing accurate account information and keeping it up to date.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Site.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or harm the community.

You own your content. When you upload photos, videos, fan edits, or other materials ("User Content"), you retain full ownership and all intellectual property rights to that content.

By submitting User Content to Billie Society, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, store, and distribute your content solely for the purposes of operating and providing the Site's features (e.g., showing your upload in the fan gallery). This license ends when you remove your content or close your account.

You represent and warrant that:

• You have all necessary rights to upload and share the content.
• Your content does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• Your content does not violate any applicable law or regulation.

The following content is strictly prohibited on Billie Society:

• Copyrighted material without authorization — full-length songs, full albums, music videos, or any other content for which you do not hold the rights or an appropriate license. Brief clips used in fan edits for transformative, non-commercial purposes may be permissible, but you bear responsibility for ensuring your use is lawful.
• Harassment or hateful content — content targeting individuals or groups with abuse, threats, hate speech, or discrimination.
• Spam or misleading content — unsolicited promotions, fake news, impersonation, or deceptive material.
• Illegal content — anything that violates applicable local, national, or international law.
• Explicit or adult content — sexually explicit material of any kind.
• Malware or harmful code — files or links designed to damage, surveil, or exploit other users or systems.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

Billie Society respects intellectual property rights and expects all users to do the same.

All copyrighted material on this Site — including but not limited to music, lyrics, album artwork, official photographs, music videos, trademarks, and artist branding — remains the exclusive property of its respective copyright holders. This includes Billie Eilish, Interscope Records, Darkroom, Universal Music Group, and their licensors.

Any such material that appears on the Site (e.g., in news articles or fan uploads) is done so either under fair use, with attribution to the original source, or as user-submitted content for which the uploading user bears full responsibility. Billie Society claims no ownership over any third-party copyrighted material.

The Site's own design, code, original text, and non-third-party assets are the property of Billie Society and may not be reproduced without permission.

If you believe content on Billie Society infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice. A valid notice must include:

• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• A URL or specific location of the allegedly infringing material on our Site.
• Your contact information (name, email address).
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner.
• A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, under penalty of perjury.

We will act on valid takedown requests promptly. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

Billie Society is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or availability of the Site or its content.

We are a small, volunteer-run fan project. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Billie Society, its operators, contributors, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the use of the Site shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Site in the 12 months preceding the claim — which, since Billie Society is free to use, means zero dollars.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation wherever possible.
